Phisher Fishing

Took down a phisher today.

(You’re welcome.)

(Please don’t give your root account the password “root.” It is terribly insecure, you will get hacked, and people that don’t know better will suffer.)

    What’s a phisher?

A phisher is a person that attemps to steal personal information by tricking people to voluntarily give this information away. This person happened to be farming eBay usernames and passwords, claiming that the account in question had been disabled due to user agreement violations. Lots of them ask for credit card info or the like.

I love phishers. I usally leave them messages telling them to get a job or a life as account names, passwords, addresses, etc. Then I report them to ebay or paypal.
